Good writing is clear, concise, consistent and most importantly correct. Errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar can be frustrating and confusing for the reader, and can affect the professional image and message the author is aiming for. 'Typos' might give an incorrect result in a sales report, and poor spelling and grammar can make the material look unprofessional and you and your business look amateurish. MSA Professional Services will improve the standard and quality of your work by correcting spelling errors, grammar, punctuation, flow and continuity as well as structure and presentation.

How do we proofread your document? We have three methods for editing and proofreading your work - Text edited by Tracking Electronic mark up is done in Word, by using the "Track Changes" facility which you can find in the Review section. Corrections will be displayed in different ways for each task - this enables you to either accept or reject the changes when the work is returned and gives you more control over what changes are made. Text edited on screen - no Tracking This means that the work is amended on screen with no amendments shown. The amended version is saved as a separate document (eg Version 2) to enable you to keep track of exactly what has been changed. Hard copy mark up Marking up involves using professional proofreading marks on paper. This is beneficial if the author has no internet access, or they are working with a longer manuscript such as a novel. Usually, this service is used by book publishers. For marking up it is helpful if the layout is at least 1½ -2 line spacing to enable sufficient room for written changes to be made on the page. Once the final document has been received and confirmed, hard copies of your documents are shredded and all computer files are deleted - this way I can ensure confidentiality of your document and any related correspondence. How do you get your documents to me? You can send your document to me using one of the following methods -
Please adhere to the following criteria when submitting work for editing - Use Tahoma 10 point or Times New Roman 12 point and double-space the text, especially with hard copy. Please ensure you include graphics, tables, illustrations, glossaries and anything else that forms part of the document. If you send a hard copy please keep a copy for yourself as corrections will be marked in red pen.
